Raised by her Grandma, Georgette, Shelly enjoyed a simple but well-educated life in rural Florida. Growing up included good food, stories, lots of lessons on antiques, old plantations. This all occurred as her Grandma made sure she knew what the proper etiquette was for young ladies. Georgette’s retirement years were spent dedicated to Shelly. That love resonates with her every day, especially in her writing.
The beginning of a Dream
At the age of thirteen-years old, Georgette handed her a paperback book and told her to dream. From that moment on she has not stopped reading or dreaming of becoming a writer.
As an Adult
Shelly’s early years saw the explosion of the internet, social media, and computer going from huge server rooms to sitting in the palm of her hand.
During this time she added to her accomplishments by having four children. But she decided it was time to pursue a dream. On August 15, 2018, she sat down and decided it was time to start Living The Dream.

Shelly spends most of her time researching and working on her writings.
